- Atlassian is looking for a Frontend Platform Engineer in Bengaluru to design, build, evolve and maintain our web frontend systems and tools that enable our product teams to deliver great experiences to our users.

Atlassian Off Campus 2022 Team details:
- We are the User Interface Platform (UIP) Releases Improvements Team. This team is responsible for looking after the Atlassian Frontend repository, the repository home to millions of lines of code and hundreds of monthly active internal contributors, with a focus on improving the release process for the platform-housed packages.
- As an engineer in our team, you’ll contribute to a core piece of the Atlassian developer experience to ease the release management burden of Atlassian Frontend packages for consumers, allowing them to perform upgrades with more confidence & less risk.
- Our team plays a crucial role in the Atlassian platform strategy. By leveraging our centralized repository tooling, we can roll out new platform offerings to the broader Atlassian teams faster, and elevate the performance of all products more economically.
More About The Projects You Might Work On
The team is responsible for the release management of packages that are developed in the Atlassian Frontend repository. We are working towards making the pipeline better to ensure products can consume those releases faster and with better confidence.
On your first day, we’d love for you to have
- Understanding of modern frontend ecosystem, including but not limited to bundling, linting, testing and releasing.
- Experience debugging problems across systems/repositories and designing solutions span the whole stack.
- System mindset that considers edge cases, observability, error handling, and integration across external systems.
- Thrive when working with internal engineer customers and have a deep empathy/service mindset on solving fellow engineer’s problems.
- A decent understanding of the JavaScript language and ecosystem.
- Experience with building frontend applications using React.
Atlassian Off Campus 2022 Required Skills:
It’s great, but not required if you have
- Typescript experience.
- Bash/shell script experience.
- Nodejs experience.
- Experience working on platform teams.
- Knowledge of open-source libraries, tools, and frameworks (e.g. for logging, wiring, testing, and building)
- Some industry experience with public cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GAE, Azure)
- Ability and willingness to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and paradigms.
