Job Description
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT: CDM Smith is looking for a student to work with our Business Technology group. Reporting directly to the lead project manager and working alongside business analysts, this student will act as a liaison between key project stakeholders, while also having the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.
- To succeed in this role, this student should have natural analytical and critical thinking capabilities, while also being able to manage cross-functional task/responsibilities.
- With direct guidance, this student will assist with: Overseeing and completing project(s) of small to large size with basic to medium complexity scope.
- Scheduling any deliverables agreed to by the project stakeholders and leadership. Managing documents and maintaining records of project plan changes/updates and reviewing all project management materials with management.
- Ensuring projects are staffed with the appropriate Information Technology (IT), stakeholder and vendor resources (Business Analysts, Application Developers, Infrastructure Specialists, etc.).
- Performing detailed requirements analysis and documenting processes.
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Attending meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Working closely with clients, Technicians, and managerial staff. Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
