Job description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Ensure the security and integrity of system data.
- Perform regular backups and ensure data recovery capabilities.
- Assist in the implementation and management of network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Document system configurations and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in system administration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., Citrix, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field.
