What you’ll do:
– Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Ruby
– Integration with database and third-party tools and services
– Writing APIs to be consumed by frontend, apps, and third-parties
– Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
– Help maintain code quality, organization and automation

What you should already know:
– Strong knowledge with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as Devise, ancestry, papertrail
– Good understanding of Ruby and it’s nuances
– Uncanny ability to write declarative code and an inherent urge to convert imperative code into declarative one
– Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as React, or at least HTML + jQuery
– A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code
– Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
– Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
– Ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
– Familiarity with git, working with git-flow is a bonus
– Familiarity with deployment to AWS, familiarity with docker and kubernetes is a plus
