Job Description for Cloud Engineer, Consultant

Work you’ll do

• ·      Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines for data ingestion from various sources.
• ·      Implement data manipulations to ensure data is ready for downstream applications. 
• ·      Utilize GCP services, including BigQuery, to build scalable and efficient data infrastructure. 
• ·      Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. 
• ·      Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines. 
• ·      Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle. 
• ·      Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion and processing. 

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

• ·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• ·       Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role. 
• ·       Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services. 
• ·       Strong programming skills in Python. 
• ·       Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases. 
• ·       Hands-on experience with BigQuery and other essential GCP resources (e.g., Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub). 
• ·       Experience with data ingestion and ETL processes. 
• ·       Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools. 
• ·       Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• ·       Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively. 

Preferred:

Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a top-tier university.
