EY GDS Consulting digital engineering, is seeking an fresher/experienced API Developer in Azure/AWS cloud to join our Emerging Technologies team in DET, GDS. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and be a key player in shaping our technological advancements.
The opportunity
We are seeking an API Developer and Cloud Development professional to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with 0-3 years of experience to contribute to cutting-edge API solutions on Azure/AWS cloud platforms.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain APIs on Azure/AWS cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement API solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and optimization to improve API performance and maintainability.
- Implement API security measures, authentication, and authorization mechanisms to protect data and endpoints.
- Design and implement data models, schemas, and protocols for efficient data exchange and integration with external systems.
- Monitor API performance, uptime, and usage metrics, and implement proactive measures for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API development, cloud computing, and DevOps methodologies.
- Document API design, development, and deployment processes, including technical specifications, API documentation, and user guides.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and external stakeholders using API services.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design decisions for cloud-based API solutions, considering scalability, resilience, and cost optimization factors.
Soft Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in API development and cloud computing, with knowledge of Azure/AWS services and tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java for API development.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, API design principles, and data formats like JSON and XML.
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts, including scalability, reliability, and security best practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and collaboration tools such as Jira.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize code.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing tasks and priorities effectively.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, along with 0-3 years of experience in API development and cloud computing.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to learning and development are essential for success in this role.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Analytical ability to work with ML projects and develop API and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Experience operating independently or with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), along with API frameworks is a plus.
