Responsibilities Of The Position

• Participates in Agile software development projects to automate web applications, API services and SQL queries.
• Designs and implements test cases that promote repeatable, re-usable automated scripts for new enhancements and regression testing.
• Writes, executes and maintains automation test scripts.
• Develops and maintains test data for different modules.
• Installs and configures relevant products in all supported test environments
• Follows standard development processes and procedures.
• Develops high quality automated tests to support development and ensure high quality software
• Proactively seeks or provides assistance as required. Defect Tracking utilizing DevOps
• Automated Testing: NUnit, MS Test, Spec flow, Selenium, C#, SoapUI
• Database Tools: Oracle, SQL Developer, or other query tools
• Other Tools: Azzure DevOps, GIT, Putty, WinScp
• Experience in architecting automation framework and implementing standard methodologies.
• Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and have participated in / rolled out test automation initiatives.
• Hands-on current experience authoring, building and adopting large scale, multi-functional automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration, database.
• Deep understanding of different automation approaches (keyword driven, data driven, BDD, TDD, Gherkin spec and their application is a plus) and technology stacks (Java).
• Understanding of web services (REST), JSON and XML data formats.
• Strong SQL Scripting skills.
• Ability to work in a sprint team environment or independently as needed
• Very good understanding of SDLC process. Prefer: Agile/ Scrum/ XP
• Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and have participated in / rolled out test automation initiatives.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Thorough knowledge of software testing practices, including test planning, test automation – API and UI, and defect management

Required Experience And Skills

• Experience in multi-layer architectures for web applications
• Extensive experience in test automation tools and frameworks. Hands on experience in Selenium, ASP.NET, C#
• Familiar with Azure DevOps, Test hub
• Familiar with SQL queries.
• Hands on experience in building test automation framework.
• Experience/Understanding of Agile environment.
• Handling quality assurance and test environment problems/issues across multiple applications
• API web service execution and validation using tools such as Postman
• Familiarity with performance/load testing.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Upto 2 years’ experience preparing and executing automation and manual test scripts using industry standard automation and testing tools such as Selenium , API and back-end testing.
