Desired Candidate Profile for Network Engineer:
- The candidate must possess B.E/B.Tech in relevant field
- Experience: 1.5 – 4 years
- Experience in Data Center/PoP/Central Office installation.
- Certifications in related fields (e.g., Cisco, Linux, Network Engineering).
- Prior experience in VOIP and SIP Trunking implementation.
Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of telecommunications systems engineering, SIP, PRI, SBC gateway, and network management.
- Network Equipment: Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, SIP Trunking, and VOIP.
- Linux Administration: Proficiency in Linux infrastructure, shell scripting (e.g., bash), and monitoring system performance.
- ITSM Knowledge: Experience with Incident, Service Requests, and Change Management across IT Infrastructure.
- Telecom Systems: Experience with telecom tools such as Ameyo, Exotel, Avaya, or Czentrix.
- Communication & Documentation: Excellent verbal communication, documentation, and time management skills.
- Independence & Attention to Detail: Ability to work independently and with strong attention to detail.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Establish Communication Systems: Install, operate, and maintain voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment.
- Monitor System Performance: Proactively monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and plan for system capacity.
- Verify Services: Test and validate circuits, equipment, alarms; identify, escalate, or correct any problems.
- Network Security: Ensure security and efficiency of telecom systems and IVR infrastructure.
- Install & Configure Network Equipment: Configure routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.
- Maintain Network Infrastructure: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
- Linux Infrastructure: Develop and maintain Linux infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime.
- System Upgrades: Manage software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers and network hardware.
