The IOT Systems & Connectivity Business Unit Quality Assurance teams are looking for test engineers to contribute to delivering high quality products to the customers. The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer-I will be responsible for developing test plans, test execution, test infrastructure setup and automation of the test scenarios.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design test plans based on customers’ requirements and the related deployment use cases
- Execute tests scenarios and automate the same for multiple product solutions
- Identify issues with the product and report through defect tickets. Also publish Test Results and metrics in test management tool
- Collaborate with development/field engineers by reproducing the issues in lab and support to bring the issues to logical closure
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks. Work closely with the team to identify new automation scope/test areas.
- Participate in continuous improvement of test strategies/practices based on the root cause analysis/test escape analysis
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Computers Engineering or equivalent
- Development experience using Python/Java/C
- Good knowledge of cellular (4G/5G) and datacom technologies (Networking Protocols)
- Good understanding on various networking devices/technologies (switch, routers, firewall)
- Good oral and written communication skills are must
- Passionate about software quality and software testing
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good Team player
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of Virtualization, Containerization and Cloud Technologies
- Understanding of various specification in wireless areas like 3GPP
- Understanding of tools like Jenkins, Jmeter, GitHub
- Understanding and configuration of networking devices like routers, switches, firewall and some understanding of security aspects including IPSec.
