General Purpose:

This Trainee Engineer role provides crucial technical support to our Product Development Engineering, CAD Engineering, and Specials Engineering teams. You will work under direct supervision on small to medium-scale projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Essential Functions:

• Applies fundamental engineering principles to assigned tasks.
• Demonstrates strong note-taking abilities, clearly documenting work processes and assumptions.
• Develops accurate technical specification drawings and models to support Engineering teams under close guidance.
• Actively participates within project and work team settings.
• Maintains consistent and clear communication with Engineers and Managers on assigned projects.
• Sets a positive example through attitude and a commitment to high standards in both the quantity and quality of work.
• Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance technical and organizational skills through continuous learning and development.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year program) in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 7.0.
• Familiarity with at least one 3D CAD software tool.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with clear and concise articulation.
• A strong passion for developing innovative product solutions.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and a willingness to engage in constructive discussions and respectfully express differing opinions.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and applying them effectively on the job.
• Flexibility to work in different shifts as needed.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Solid understanding of design principles.
• Ability to follow instructions, incorporate constructive feedback, and meet specified deadlines.
• Adherence to established processes and procedures relevant to the role, team, and organization.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor when addressing concerns.
• Demonstrates respect, tact, truthfulness, and professionalism in all workplace interactions while representing MillerKnoll’s interests.
• Takes ownership of responsibilities and works efficiently to drive tasks to successful completion.

Additional Requirements (Good to Have):

• Prior internship experience within the manufacturing industry will be considered an advantage.
