- Participate in the design, development, and planning for the software architecture for United’s technology platforms
- Strong knowledge of programming paradigms and architectural concepts including object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, Database systems.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, modular and robust code in a common language (C#,.Net)
- Effective Communication (verbal + written) and strong team player
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile methodology)
Job overview and responsibilities
As an Associate Quality Engineer in Quality Engineering at United Airlines, you will be responsible for providing quality engineering-related services to the application development and business teams. This includes participating in daily scrum calls, reviewing business and system requirements, authoring and executing both manual and automated tests, logging defects in the Quality Management tools, and triaging them with impacted stakeholders. You will also be responsible for resolving test environment related issues and supporting production cutover validation efforts on release nights.

- Test Data Creation and Management
- Defect Management
- Key Performance Metrics Reporting (ADO or Jira)

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- University graduate
- Programming / Scripting
- Software Test Life Cycle / Agile & Waterfall Methodoligies
- Energetic and eager to learn
- Work with distributed teams
- Ability to work under time constraint
- Support during off / CST hours during production deployments
- Strong written/oral communication skills, data focused, able to work in a team environment, project management, analytical skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
